Women Can Do III is 24-months project that aims at enhancing entrepreneurial skills of young women in Balochistan. The project builds upon the existing/extensive network and work of Shaoor Foundation on inclusion of young women within the entrepreneurial ecosystem of Pakistan. Moreover, as the project name suggests, it can also be taken as an extension of SFEA’s work around empowerment of female entrepreneurs in Pakistan as SFEA has already completed two “Women can Do” projects in the past, across the country.
The core aim of the project at hand is to drive change through empowering women entrepreneurs in Quetta (+ from other districts), Balochistan and transforming them into effective income generators and contributors to the economic development of the province, alongside being trailblazers and trendsetters for other aspirants in the future.
The proposed intervention takes on-board the best from the entrepreneurial ecosystem of Pakistan (majority of women business leaders) and through multi-layered set of activities aspired to train, mentor, encourage and empower women start-up/business leaders. This Project will address challenges through curated curriculum, mentorship, peer-to-peer evaluations, collaboration and virtual cultural immersion prepares a pool of 60-women business leaders and seed grant for 5 entrepreneurs who would inspire/aspire other women entrepreneurs across Balochistan, during and beyond project cycle. This project will also provide an opportunity of Exposure and Exchange visit to Females.
