Chiragh Se Chiragh

Shaoor Foundation for Education and Awareness (SFEA) in partnership with International Foundation for Electoral Systems (IFES) launched a project called ‘Chiragh se Chiragh’ with an objective to enhance democratic knowledge of the young leaders and equip them with voter education. Building upon SFEA’s enormous experience of specialized engagement with youth, communities and institutions of higher education the  project “Youth Voter Education for Inclusive Elections” is a 4 months long engagement focusing on voter education training of 300 potential young leaders in two districts (provincial capitals) of Punjab and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. The project is training and capacity enhancement, mobilization and Community education initiatives relying on and enhancing the strength of the youth.  The project majorly focuses on enhancing democratic knowledge of the young leaders and equipping them with voter education with an aim to mobilize them for a larger community voter-education drive. Keeping in view the aforesaid background, the project’s prime activity is twelve 2-days training of youth leaders with the title “Youth Leadership and Civic Education Training.A total of 75 emerging youth leaders will be trained in 3 trainings at each of the 4 selected educational institutions. The trained C2C Alumni will further organize outreach activities which will result in training a total of 3000 community members. 10 to be trained by each of 300 young leaders trained by the project in youth leadership and Civic Education Trainings.
