The first international conference on Contemporary Issues in Law for Sustainable and Inclusive Democracy concluded on December 08, 2023. The closing session was chaired by Prof. Dr. Muhammad Ali, Vice Chancellor BZU. Prof. Dr. Zia Al Qayyum, Executive Director Higher Education Commission (HEC), Islamabad served as the Chief Guest. The event also included Mr. Hasan Raza Pasha, Chairman of the Executive Committee, Pakistan Bar Council, Prof. Dr. Muhammad Zia-ul-Haq, Director General of the Islamic Research Institute International Islamic University Islamabad, and Syed Ali Haider Geelani, former Provincial Minister and Member of the Punjab Assembly as the Guests of Honor.
The Chief Guest and Guests of Honor commended the achievements of all stakeholders and their dedication to advancing legal education and research. Dr. Zia-ul-Qayyum reiterated HEC’s sustained support and expressed confidence that the conference’s outcomes and recommendations would leave a lasting impact on the legal and academic community.
