Active KP

The ACTIVE-KP project is built upon the strengths of SFEA's CVE efforts and community engagement. Its main goal is to foster a peaceful society in the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province of Pakistan through initiatives focused on peace education emphasizing values like compassion, inclusiveness, and non-violence.

The project actively involves youth from various regions within the province in its activities. A total of three rounds of Salamti Fellowships engaging 30 participants, in each, from diverse background of KP have been successfully organized. Throughout these week-long residential fellowships, participants engaged in lectures, workshops, and a range of activities.

After completing the fellowship, these individuals have returned to their respective communities to initiate Community Action Projects, spreading the message of peace.

There are 13 Reading Circles that occur monthly (in 3 quarters) to promote literacy and discussion and 13 project documentaries to showcase the outcomes of activities are also part of the project. To ensure broad outreach, the project has connected with communities through mainstream media channels like television and radio, as well as through social media platforms. Overall 100+ Reading circles have been conducted till now.
