Political Cadre Development Program

Political Cadre Development Program (PCDP) is SFEA’s imperative project aiming to strengthen the capacity of the district-level local political influencers/party members through divisional training on democratic devolution, provincial autonomy, and local government in the context of the 18th constitutional amendment to better understand local governance issues and play an effective role in their resolution at the grass-root level.

The project primarily aims to sensitize and train mid-level and young political cadres of various democratic political parties about the concept, system, and significance of decentralization. Three-day training includes academic lectures, group work, and presentations. Through this project, Shaoor Foundation in collaboration with Haans Siedel Foundation (HSF) aims to facilitate the political cadre development process through political education.

In the first phase of the project, trainings were held in seven districts across the country, whereas in the second phase, trainings were carried out in Punjab, Sindh, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, and Islamabad.
