In an era where extremist narratives proliferate on social media, youth in socially, politically, and economically marginalized regions face significant threats of radicalization. This project( Oct 2024- Sep 2026), implemented by Search for Common Ground in partnership with the Shaoor Foundation for Education and Awareness, aims to enhance the capabilities of Countering/Preventing Violent Extremism (C/PVE) practitioners in effectively utilizing digital media tools within their programs.
The project focuses on strengthening the organizational capacities of PVE practitioners through targeted training in digital media management and content creation. It aims to empower these practitioners to develop and implement transformative social media campaigns that counter extremist narratives. Through a collaborative approach, participants engage in knowledge-sharing and continuous learning, allowing them to adapt strategies that resonate with diverse audiences. Additionally, small grants support short-term social media initiatives, addressing resource gaps and fostering sustainability. By prioritizing conflict sensitivity and inclusivity, the project aspires to create a lasting impact in promoting positive change and countering extremist content online.
