Pro Women Politics (I) was a capacity building project engaging district level political religious parties’ leadership along with representatives of media organizations and bar councils of targeted areas to advocate and garner support for a more active role of women in political parties at local level. The project successfully conducted capacity building trainings involving 700 direct beneficiaries, including women leaders and media personnel.

Built on Pro-Women Politics I, Pro-Women Politics II was designed for Azad Jammu Kashmir, Khyber Pakhtun Khwa and Punjab. PWPII extended its benefits to 800 beneficiaries and played a significant role in enhancing the capacities of aspiring women political leaders.

Additionally, it raised awareness within Pakistan’s mainstream political and religious parties about the importance of enabling women to thrive based on their skills and abilities. The project beneficiaries interacted with national development and media professionals in Islamabad.
